Keep pens up high

This sounds so simple and yet it is life changing.

You know how most parents complain about having walls/furniture scribbled on by their little angels…well I have the perfect solution. Keep the pens out of reach.

In my house pens are treated with the same level of care as medicines. Until the children are old enough to fully comprehend how to use pens and other art supplies for that matter, in a useful way and know what is and isn’t acceptable as a drawing surface, keep them out of reach.

When your child wants to draw get the pens down and let them go crazy whilst you either sit there discussing their artwork with them or stay at a safe distance but always within eye sight.

This way you don’t have to worry about having your home destroyed.

You can use the time that you would spend trying to remove the pen marks either playing with your child or enjoying some extra me time.

Life is hard enough without inviting extra cleaning and stress into your life.

Pens are really tempting for little people and you know how they love to explore so do yourself a favour and keep them up high.
